ADHD in adults is very real condition and diagnosis, yet surprisingly there remains a great deal of confusion, skepticism and misinformation in the media and the minds of individuals.
As an adult living with ADHD, a psychotherapist and an ADD Coach I strive to promote factual information and education about ADHD. There are great resources to learn about ADHD and the many ways that it presents in the lives of adults, their families, relationships and careers. One such resource is ADHDCentral.com.
Other recommended resources are the organizations that serve individuals with ADHD. CHADD is an organization that serves children and adults with ADHD and provides a rich source if information and education. ADDA is an organization dedicated to serving adults with ADHD. Finally, the ACO is an organization for ADD Coaches but and also a resource for locating ADD Coaches.
The final resource I’d like to offer is a link to a powerful new documentary video on Adult ADHD called ADD & Loving It! The video from Global TV in Canada stars comedian and actor Patrick McKenna. The video will last approximately 45min but it is well worth it an it’s a video you want to pass along to others. The only problem is the video was posted on the site Sept 22 and was slated to be removed.

Eileen Bailey, ADD Expert and Moderator of ADHD Health Central, recently interviewed Howie Mandel about his ADHD.
“I didn’t let ADHD prevent me from achieving my goals and neither should anyone else.” Howie Mandel is the host of “Deal or No Deal” on television and is also the spokesperson for the Adult ADHD is Real Campaign. When I recently spoke with him he said after he had spoken out about his own ADHD, he was contacted by the campaign and he agreed with the message and wanted to be involved.

On Sept 23 – I posted an ‘ Urgent Notice’ regarding a very limited viewing for this most EXCELLENT new video regarding adult ADHD. I received notice of this video on Sept 22 and was informed that the video would only be available for viewing until Sept 25.
HURRAY!!! The video is still avaivable for viewing BUT… I wouldn’t wait long before viewing. Many ADHD Success readers who have viewed this video have expressed positive comments.
