    When picturing attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), images of children who have difficulty focusing and controlling behavior often come to mind. While considerable advances in recognizing and understanding ADHD have allowed for early diagnoses and treatments in youth in recent years, many adults may have grown up with undiagnosed ADHD and have continued to struggle with the condition—without knowing that they have it—throughout their adult lives and even into their senior years.
